Fans have dubbed soul-pop singer-songwriter Melany Watson’s aesthetic as a mix of modern and classic soul with a dash of southern ambience. Melany’s musicality embraces soul, especially 1990s pop-soul artists like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, and a tastefully textured vibe that conjures throwback Carole King writing style. A deeper dive into her musicality reveals her songcraft is steeped in singer-songwriter icons like Carole King, the classic phrasing of Etta James, and the storyteller lineage of country music passed on to her from her Houston, Texas upbringing.

She's performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, Live with Kelly, The View, Good Morning America and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
